We love Taco Tuesday around here and I’m always trying to mix things up a bit and get creative! From serving Carne Asada tacos to this Taco Charcuterie Board, we can celebrate Taco Tuesday with delicious tacos!
Serving a taco charcuterie board is not only super fun and delicious but lets everyone build their taco exactly as they like it! I have a few that just like taco meat and cheese and a few that load on the toppings! Plus you can customize this taco board to suit your family’s preferences whether that’s a spicy salsa or a unique peach salsa like this board has!
Equipment
You’ll need a few things to make a taco charcuterie board. While a large charcuterie board is ideal, I’ve used my large wooden cutting boards or large serving platters in a pinch. Be creative with what you have!
You’ll also need a variety of small bowls of different sizes for toppings, the meats, and your taco sauce. These can be any color so again if you don’t have a set of charcuterie board bowls grab whatever you’ve got on hand!
Ingredients
There are a few basics you will need on a taco board such as tortillas, taco shells, and taco meat but the ingredients are customizable to your family’s tastes and preferences.
Ground Beef – You’ll need to whip up a batch of taco meat.
Taco Seasoning – I make my homemade taco seasoning but use whatever you prefer.
Salsa – Whether you use a peach salsa like I did or you use a jar of homemade salsa, you’ll need some salsa for topping your tacos and dipping a few chips in!
Water – To make the taco meat.
Cooked Chicken – Since we like chicken and beef tacos, I added both to my taco charcuterie board for a little variety! Grab some leftover chicken or a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store to keep it simple.
Cheese – Grab some shredded Mexican cheese or cheddar cheese or whatever cheese you like.
Colorful Peppers – I love adding some small colorful peppers for a pop of color and flavor on my taco charcuterie boards.
Diced Tomatoes – Dice some tomatoes for a topping
Shredded Lettuce – To make it simple grab a bag of shredded lettuce from the grocery store produce department or a head of iceberg and slice it into thin shreds for topping your tacos.
Guacamole – I love making my own guacamole but sometimes it’s easier to just grab a tub from the produce department at the grocery store, especially since only a few of my family like guacamole.
Sour Cream – I love sour cream on my tacos!
Taco Sauce – Grab your favorite taco sauce or change it up and add a bit of hot sauce.
Hard Taco Shells – We love hard taco shells and usually keep them on hand for easy taco nights.
Tortillas – I always have tortillas on hand for making a variety of things like my Cuban sandwich quesadillas and all sorts of snacks but they are a great option on this taco charcuterie board as well.
