Ingredients

This Pumpkin Spice Irish Coffee is made with mostly pantry staples!

Whipped Cream – I love making my homemade maple whipped cream for this recipe. However, if you’re in a pinch you can use store bought whipped cream as well.

Pumpkin Pie Spice – Again I prefer to make my own pumpkin pie spice but feel free to use store bought if you’d prefer.

Hot Coffee – Freshly brewed hot coffee is the star of the show here!

Irish Creme – This is a liqueur that has hints of cocoa, coffee, vanilla, and, of course, Irish Whiskey!

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Irish Coffee

Grab all of your ingredients, either making your own homemade maple whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice or grabbing your store bought! Either way works great!

Combine one tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice to your coffee grounds, mixing well, and brew your spiced coffee grounds as usual.

Pour the Irish Creme into each mug and top with the freshly brewed spiced coffee.

Tips & Variations

  • Use strong, freshly brewed coffee. A rich dark roast works best so the flavor isn’t lost under the pumpkin spice and cream.
  • Warm your mug first. Pour hot water in your coffee mug and let it sit for a minute, then dump it out before making the drink. This keeps your Irish coffee hotter for longer.
  • Adjust the sweetness. If you prefer less sugar, use less pumpkin spice syrup or swap for a sugar-free version. You can also balance sweetness with a pinch of cinnamon on top.
  • Homemade whipped cream makes it special. Freshly whipped cream (lightly sweetened with vanilla or pumpkin spice) really takes this cocktail to the next level.
  • Try flavored whiskeys. A honey or cinnamon whiskey can add another cozy layer of flavor.
  • Make it festive. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a sprinkle of nutmeg, or even crushed gingersnaps for a holiday-ready presentation.
  • Non-alcoholic option. Skip the whiskey and you’ve got a delicious pumpkin spice coffee that’s family-friendly.
